A Soft New Year: Welcoming Spring with Gratitude and Gentle Beginnings

A Soft New Year: Welcoming Spring with Gratitude and Gentle Beginnings

Spring has always felt like the real New Year to me. Life flows again. The days stretch longer, the air softens, and the earth reminds us that blooming happens in its own time. It's a season of planting seeds - in gardens, in friendships, in our bodies, and in our lives. 🌱

This year I welcome the first day of spring slowly and intentionally. I woke up in gratitude. I bought myself flowers, and a new plant. I ate sushi with thankfulness, helped an elder get food, talked with a good friend, cooked dinner while listening to jazz, and my night vibes include - sipping wine in my robe with candles lit and incense in the air - ending the night by pulling an oracle card to see what message the universe has for me before rest. ✨️

It also happens to be Aries season, my sun season, which always feels like a personal reset - a reminder to move forward with courage, trust myself, and begin again with intention. My new year, this first day of spring, owes me nothing. I am already blessed while still ironing things out. 💫

Spring reminds us that where we are planted is still sacred ground. Growth isn't always loud - sometimes it looks like choosing peace, choosing presence, choosing softness with yourself. If today is the beginning of your new year too, let it be gentle. Let it be grateful. Let it be enough. 🌱

Light something soft tonight, breathe deeply, and let this new season begin with you. 🌱
